Some of us have believed a lie for so long that we find it hard to believe the truth.
Overhearing what they said, Jesus told him, Don’t be afraid. Just believe (Mark 5:36, NIV).
Overhearing but ignoring what they said, Jesus said to the ruler of the synagogue, Do not be seized with alarm and struck with fear. Only keep believing (AMPC).
Jesus overheard what they were talking about and said to the leader, Don’t listen to them. Just trust me (MSG).
When Jesus had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Now go out where it is deeper and let down your nets and you will catch a lot of fish!”
“Sir,” Simon replied, “we worked hard all last night and didn’t catch a thing. But if you say so, we’ll try again.”
And this time their nets were so full that they began to tear! ~ Luke 5:4-6, TLB
Some of you may be feeling the way Simon felt.
I prayed, but nothing happened.
I went to church, but nothing happened.
I fought for my marriage, but nothing happened.
I applied for the job, but nothing happened.
I did what God told me to do, but nothing happened.
Today, I want someone to know that God sees you and He knows that you have tried.
All He wants you to do is to trust him and TRY AGAIN!
Valentine’s Day is in nine days…
And I know some of you would like to be in a relationship.
And God may send you someone.
And he/she may love you, but no one will ever love you like HIM.
Do you know what it feels like to love a person who doesn’t love you back?
But God wanted you when you didn’t want Him.
He chose you before you chose Him.
And He loved you when no one else loved you.
He didn’t wait until you were easy to love, but He loved you when you were hard to love.
So, if you are single, separated or divorced, please know that you are not waiting to be loved, but you are already loved.
For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16).
But God clearly shows and proves His own love for us, by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8, AMP)
But God put his love on the line for us by offering his Son in sacrificial death while we were of no use whatever to him (Romans 5:8, MSG)
While we were wasting our lives in sin, God revealed His powerful love to us in a tangible display (Romans 5:8, VOICE).
